"What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun."

The world spins round and round. What has come will come again. What is new today was old many times before. No problem afflicts us that has not been seen before. And here we are, like fools, thinking that the situations and emotions that befall us are something that nobody understands or has ever had to deal with before. Many of us think that the entire world is going to Hell in a Hand Basket and that things are as bad now as they have ever been.
Fortunately this is not the case. The problems in society, in people, in churches, and in the world of today are the same problems that we've always had. They are not a strange new phenomenon that will somehow destroy the world because we have never seen them before.
History is our companion that we should learn from. The generations that came before us wrestled through the same foundational issues we did. Now, your grandparents may not be able to help you reformat your 'I-phone' so that you can run your apps faster, but they will know about dealing with rejection, disappointment, longing for that special someone and being afraid to talk to her or him, etc.
There is a line of authentic people who wrestled with authentic issues and left behind the journals, books, testimonies, and art of their wrestling and their conclusions. Whatever issue that plagues your mind or heart whether physical, emotional, or spiritual has been dealt with by others in the past and in the present. Open up their testimonies and read, understand, and know how this issue has been dealt with and what the consequences of each dealing have been.
